Eighty five MSU computer personnel attended the seminar which included addressing information technology policy, understanding the university network, the Computer Crimes Act and exchanging technical information with agencies and organisations.
The afternoon brainstorming session was divided into three groups concentrating on internet network administration and cataloguing, the development of information systems and websites and thirdly computer services in general. The brainstorming sessions involved scope of work and responsibilities, problems encountered therein and solutions, approaches to measure and evaluate core competencies and frameworks for guidelines and assessments.
